Spring – a season of renewal. In the retail apparel business, that means a season of new clothes for our customers, who are looking to revitalize their wardrobes. But this year at Bell’s, the season of renewal goes a bit further – to a total renovation of our men’s store.
The building which houses our men’s department was built in 1958 as the new and enlarged location of Bell’s. The original location was just 200 feet north, opened in 1931. At 4800 square feet, this building housed many facets of our business: a section of it eventually became home of the ladies’ department in 1960, before they grew into their own space next door; alterations were set up in the back, and upstairs was receiving and the stock room.
On February 1st, the long-time home of the men’s department was temporary consolidated into our Ladies’ department next door. It’s all here – from suits, jackets, shirts to shoes, everything you’ve been accustomed to seeing is now tastefully displayed… Stephen, Scott, and Irvin are here to help you find just what you’re looking for, providing the exemplary service you’ve come to know and expect.
